FlightGear DVD's
For those with slow or expensive net connections or for those that
like spiffy DVD's with cool stuff on them you can purchase a DVD
distribution of the latest FlightGear program and the FlightGear world
scenery.

NEW PROGRAM DVD RELEASED!
The v1.9.1 program DVD is now available. This DVD
includes the Windows and MacOSX versions, some north american
scenery, over 200 aircraft, and full source code.
- December 23, 2008:
The v1.9.0 program DVD is now available. This DVD
includes the Windows and MacOSX versions, some north american
scenery, over 200 aircraft, and full source code.

New World Scenery Available (v1.0.1)
Includes: 6 Caribbean islands plus Helgoland (John Holden,
Christian Schmitt.) Revised ParisV2 scenario from
http://helijah.free.fr/flightgear/scenery/ParisV2/ParisV2.htm
(cleanup and import by Jon Stockill.) Taxiway signs at 6
airfields: KSFO, KBWI, KLVK, KRHV, TFFF, TJSJ. Major
progress adding and updating the Scenery with 3D models - by
Alexis Bory, Gijs de Rooy, Alex Park, Christian Schmitt, Hugo
Devon , Paolo Savini .... just to name a few of the many
involved contributors;

3-DVD FlightGear World Scenery Set: $39.99
World Scenery set for FlightGear v1.9.0 (and higher.) Updated
December, 2008. This is a set of 3-DVD's (about 13Gb of data) that
includes the entire world scenery database for FlightGear. Scenery is
based on SRTM terrain, vmap0 roads, rivers, railroads, lakes, cities,
land cover, etc.

Where does the money go?

The proceeds from these sales go towards two primary goals:
- Sponsoring a child - The
world definitely need a multi-platform, open-source flight
simulator, but there are also way too many kids in our world
that aren't able to get even the basic stuff, like food, simple
health care, and school. Here are more of my thoughts on the subject.
- Please consider joining me and change a child's life, one child, one family, or one community at a time.
- Support of various FlightGear project needs such as server disk space
and upgrades, registering domain names, etc.

- Credit card sales are handled through a 3rd party.
(paypal.com) so I never receive any of your specific credit card
information, only a notification of your order with your
shipping information.
- Alternate payment methods (i.e. mailing a check) can be
arranged if you prefer not to pay by credit card.
- I usually ship orders within 1-2 business days of receiving them.
- I make no guarantees as to the usefulness, accuracy,
correctness, or robustness of the Flight Gear program or the
associated data. The only guarantee I will make is that the
contents of the DVD's will be an accurate and complete copy of
what you could freely download from the FlightGear web site.
In this sense, you can always try before you buy. The contents
of the DVD's should never hold any surprises.
- If for some reason a DVD arrives damaged or is not readable, it
is my pleasure to send you a replacement at no charge.
However, if there continues to be problems, I reserve the right
to refund your money in full instead of sending you additional
replacement DVD's.
