I'm Trying this, Building terragear-cs in Ubuntu 64, but:

I've had many attempts and failures in building the FlightGear system on my puter. I tried the famous script, and it doesn't work on Ubuntu 9.04, insofar as getting the mapping libraries and plib, simgear, etc. loaded properly, and so FG 1.9 will load from a .tar.gz. I'm now attempting to build plib, terragear, etc, using: http://wiki.flightgear.org/index.php/Bu ... _Ubuntu_64 . Lest I sound like I know what I'm doing, I don't. I'm a user, I'm afraid, who knows just enough to be dangerous and get myself (and others) into trouble (and I hope you see my tongue in my cheek as I say this.) I am not a geek.
My current roadblock is:
step 9, Go to to the directory simgear to start the compilation. Remember that when we download source code with a cvs software as git or svn we need to:
and it instructs one to cd into simgear directory, and run ./autogen.sh.

Except, on my system, autogen.sh isn't in the directory. Lest I mess things up any further -- I've elected to halt until ( I hope ) someone can talk me through the rest of the process. I really want this to succeed. I've flown a few times already, having just got my graphics card and joystick installed, and I'm loving it. Now, I want the whole moxie.

Thanks, guys.

Still in ground school and configuring my FlightGear to my system. Any help and advice definitely appreciated. Thanks to those who have helped in the past.

Hi trennor :)
If autogen.sh is missing that means something went wrong with cvs checkout.
