Upgrade from FlightGear 2.4 to 2.6

Apple MacBook Pro
- Mac OS X Lion 10.7.3
- FlightGear 2.4
- NVIDIA GeForce 320M 256MB

I am new to FlightGear. I presently have FlightGear 2.4 installed on my Mac and would like to upgrade to 2.6, do I have to uninstall 2.4 or will it just overwrite?

I recommend renaming 2.4 before copying 2.6 from the .dmg to Applications--just call it FlightGear24. Then there will be no conflict, and you can move your downloaded aircraft and scenery from 2.4 to 2.6. Trash 2.4 after everything is running properly in 2.6, or just keep it if you wish.
