Music?

Postby Sebulba on Wed Nov 04, 2009 8:16 am

Hello people! this is my first topic here on the flight gear forums. I play the game for a year now and enjoy it very much. I wanted to ask if there are any plans for music included? I am interested in composing music for the game licenced under creative commons. If the developers are possitive with the idea please inform me here or via e-mail given on my account. Thanks!

Welcome Sebulba,

FlightGear is created as a simulator, not a game. If our pilots like to have some music, they can turn on their Ipods or stereos.

Therefore, we would really like to see you working on creating/recording soundeffects (rain, engines, guns, crashes, wind, birdhits etc.), but we will not include any music within the official package. However, you are free to make any additions/edits to FlightGear, as it is opensource, but you'll have to host it somewhere as an addon.

Regards,
Gijs
